About Us

How Lens of Light Started

The primary reason I've created Lens of Light is because I have a passion for God's Word. Every morning when I open my Bible I am reminded of God's goodness and unending grace.

Deuteronomy 6:5-9 talks about how God's word should permeate every area of our lives. Verse 9 says:

"You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."

My hope with Lens of Light is that you will be able to take these pieces of wall art and hang them in your home, (or wherever you'd like), or regularly use another one of our products, and be reminded of God's promises, meditate on His goodness, and rejoice in all that He has given to us and done for us in Christ Jesus.

All of the photographs and designs are my original work. I've been able to travel to some amazing places and had the privilege of marveling at God's beautiful creation. I've been awed and inspired to worship Him standing before great mountains, sunsets over oceans, and landscapes that have made my jaw drop. I hope that somehow through these pictures you too will be able to rejoice in what our amazing God has done and created.

The Name

It took a lot of brainstorming before I finally settled on the name Lens of Light. Psalm 119:105 was one of the reasons: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." The theme of light and God being light and walking in the light and Jesus being the light of the world is all through the Bible. His word gives light in the darkest of times in life. Jesus came as the Light of the World and by His grace, He conveys us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His marvelous light. What a glorious reality!

We can look at this world through a variety of lenses, but this lens, the lens of God's word, is the only lens that gives us the perspective we need. It is the only one that lights our path as we walk this earth as pilgrims, living in light of eternity.
